Asia Data Destruction (ADD) attended the big Seminar “PDPA – Privacy for All” presented by the Minister of Digital Economy and Society, Mr.Buddhipongse Punnakanta.

To boost understanding about the legislation,  The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (DES). organized this seminar to explain, discuss and comment on the preparation of the new PDPA regulations, which is scheduled to come into force May 2020.

In the morning section was to explain the classification of data into 3 parts. consisting of Data Subject Data Controller and Data Processor by advisor of Secretary-General of the Personal Information Protection Board.

By all this is to inform the purpose of the PDPA is not prohibited. But there is an introduction to the standardization of data usage. The impact of this law which affects to many departments and organization that have already used the data, either from the public or private sectors must adjust to be more concise than before must focus on standards and processes more data care to prevent the occurrence of Data Breach.
