Data Lifecycle Management
Data lifecycle management is a data management process aimed to increase the efficiency and life cycle of the data from the creation, storage to destruction, which help the related process automatically continue according to the set criteria.
The Lifecycle Management Data Phase consists of 6 main phases
- Data collection
- Data access
- Data usage
- Data storage
- Data transfer
- Data destruction
Data might be stored in forms of text, picture or audio in main media channels including papers or other electronic media such as computers, phones, hard disks, tapes, CD and USB.
Therefore, every process needs to be designed to determine a person who would be able to access and the storage format. And, the unused data also need to be destroyed safely. Because the importance of data management is to not only help the data to be used more efficiently, but also to increase confidence that important information will not leak into the public.
